Monthly Favorites: July 2018

I cannot believe that July is basically over; it feels like just yesterday was the 4th of July! Since starting my little blog journal (stay tuned for more on that) it's been so much easier to keep track of my monthly favorites so you can look forward to more monthly posts like this. I love trying out new things, from podcasts to beauty products, and I love sharing my thoughts on the with you guys, so posts like there are perfect for that! Here's to my random ramblings of things I've been doing, using, enjoying over the past month.


Friendship bracelets

So I'm not sure that this counts as "Fashion" but I wear them all the time so I'm throwing it in here, mainly because I wear the same thing every day as part of my camp uniform so I don't really have anything else for this category. If you read my last Coffee Date, you know the story behind these.


This one is really just a color but it fit best here too.  It's just so happy and summery. I've had yellow nails for the past few weeks, lots of yellow outfits and making tons of bracelets with yellow in them. 



 I have been trying to up my skincare game lately, and since I really didn't want to my derm recommended face washes, I decided to venture into the world of serums. Right now I am using this one from Urban Outfitters that is packed with vitamin C to restore and renew your skin.

Fresh Face

With my job at camp, I really don't wear much, if any make up during the summer. I love the look and feel of keeping it natural. My skin feels great, I don't have to worry about sweat or the pool ruining my makeup and it saves so much time. Most days I'll just throw on some of my favorite mascara.



I've bee getting up at 5:30 every day to run before work. It wakes me up more than coffee does, and it doesn't hurt that it's much better for your body. Right now I'm focusing on extending my running time more than distance and pace. My goal is to build up enough endurance for a 5k, then we'll see where it goes from there. 

Whitney Simmons Workouts

To go along with my running, I've been adding in strength workouts every other day. I love Whitney's workouts because she has a range of difficulty levels and provides you with modifications. She also has a bunch of workouts that are either equipment free or can be modified for things that are easier to use at home.
