I'm sure another Nordstrom Sale post is the last thing you want to be reading right now, but I really felt like writing one. If you'd like something else to read you can check out my last post here. (#ShamelessSelfPromo) Unfortunately I am not lucky enough to have a Nordstrom in my area, or anywhere close by really, and believe it or not I'm not really big on shopping online; shocking, I know. Most of these items will probably stay in my cart, but a girl can dream right? I'll also gladly take any donations.

Coffee Date no.4

July 19, 2017

Happy summer everyone! I cannot believe we're almost halfway through. It's been a hot minute since the last time I posted, so I figured I'd write another coffee date life update post to fill you in on everything that's been going on these past few weeks.

For those of you that don't know, for the last three years, I've worked at the same summer camp I went to as a kid. Camp started in full swing the last week of June, and that has been taking up most of my time this summer. While working a 9-5 job all summer sounds exhausting to most people, and at times it is, I really do love my job. I can't imagine any other job being as fun and active as a camp counselor. I get to dress up every week in a totally ridiculous outfit and it's totally acceptable. I always say that if I've made one person smile I've done my job right.

As fun as it is and as much as I enjoy it, I haven't had as much time as I would like to spend on growing my brand and blogging.
Not only am I working more but I have to start getting serious about finding the school I am going to transfer to once I graduate in the spring. As I write this post, I am sitting in the car on my way to tour 4 different schools this week. I plan to do a post going into a little more detail about it later in the week or early next week. If you're interested in reading more posts about my transfer process let me know in the comments below!

Now for all the things I've been loving lately

Beauty:
If you've ready my Summer Makeup Essentials post, you already know I don't like to wear that much makeup over the summer, but I do have one product that I love to share with all of you that I also mentioned in that post. I'm required to swim (or at least be ready to) for camp everyday, so pretty much everything I wear has to be waterproof since I don't have time to reapply after. My favorite mascara, the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, comes in a waterproof version and y'all let me tell you, I swear by this! It leaves absolutely no black marks under your eyes after a hot sweaty day, stays on through swimming and showers and isn't difficult to take off. Also let's talk about how cute the rain drop textured tube is. If you haven't tried it you need to go out and get a sample right now.

Fitness:
Lately I've been doing the Summer Sweat Series by Kayla istines. It's a free, 8(ish) week program that kicks my booty every time. I don't think I've been doing it long enough to see physical results, but I can tell you that I'm sore for a least two days after doing these workouts. I plan to stick to this for the rest of the summer. Depending on how I like it and the results I get, I may invest in a membership on her app. I'll keep y'all updated!

School:
A nerdy little fact about me is that I love taking notes. I really enjoy spending time rewriting them to make them look nice, neat and organized. My Pinterest and Tumblr feeds are filled with pictures of note books and screens filled with study inspiration. It really does help me be more motivated to do my work. At the end of last semester I caved and got the Apple Pencil to use with my iPad Pro, which I write the final copy of all my notes on and  honestly guys, it's worth it. It works so much better than any other cheap stylus I tired using before it. I'm sure there are other great Bluetooth styluses out there and feel free to try theme but I figured the Pencil would work best since it was engineered to work with my device.
Now you're probably saying "Leah ,why are you talking about this now? It's the middle of the summer." Well recently I've been copy some of my notes onto the iPad using the GoodNotes app to practice using it and improve my writing on a screen for the new semester and let me tell you guys I'm weirdly excited to start using this combo for school.
