Coffee Date no. 3

May 7, 2017

I have been so crazy busy lately. I wanted to give you guys a life update and fill you in on what I've been doing lately. I really like the idea of doing a Coffee Date post like this every month. What do you guys think?

Funny story alert!
This past weekend, I took a trip with some people from school to the Museum of Science in Boston. One of my friends and I wanted to take a walk outside and see what else was around. As we were walking, we passed a garbage can. The next thing I know, there is a squirrel flying at me! It jumped out of the garbage can, latched onto my arm, then ran up a tree. All of this took place right outside the window of the museum café, so hundreds of people probably saw it! I wish I could watch back the security tape.
Fear not, we called my doctor after it happened and everything is okay. It only left some shallow scratches on my arm.

I have one more week of school left and then I'm done! I can't wait to work on some really awesome posts for you guys this summer, but first I have to get through finals. If I'm not posting as much, I promise I'll be back soon!

Now onto the things I've been really loving lately.

Beauty:
When I went shopping a few weeks ago, I got the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray for half price. I've only used it a few time since I got it, because truth be told I've only done a full face of makeup a handful of times since then. However, the few times I have used it my makeup has lasted forever. 12 hours after I've applied it, it still looks like I put it on a half hour ago! The setting spray in combination with the Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Crème, a buildable 24 hour foundation, have been a life changing combination. Go to Sephora right not and try both of them out!

Tv
Lately I have been really loving two shows on Netflix.
First up is The West Wing. It's a show written by former White House speechwriters and it's actually very accurate. Granted all the events wouldn't happen all in one Presidency, they do all happen they way the would in real like. My AP Government and Politics teacher, who is also a former Senate staffer, showed clips of this show a lot last year to help us understand certain concepts and we all got hooked! I have to admit, I started to think the events in the show were actually happening!
Next up is Bones. If you like crime shows I definitely recommend this one. Unfortunately the first 6 seasons are on Netflix, but for the most part you don't need to know the whole background to get into the show. You might be a little confused by the first few episodes on there but stick with it and it gets good!

Fitness
I have been doing (or trying to) the Tone it Up Bikini Series. I really like how it's set up and how fun they try and make it! It's an 8 week program, and while it's already started, it's not too late to sign up. I'm not as concerned with losing weight as I am becoming healthier overall. I plan on posting a lot more fitness and health related things, especially on my Instagram story, so make sure you're following me @cuteandclassyblog

Vlogs
Daily vlogs are some of my favorite videos to watch on YouTube. Lately Brooke Miccio and Tori Sterling have been posting a ton lately, especially health vlogs. These girls are two of my favorite on YouTube and I just love watching their vlogs. They're not only entertaining, but also really inspiring! I feel like I could be best friends with these girls. If only they were reading this, sigh.

  1. LOL I love the squirrel story! What are the chances of something like that happening! I haven't seen either of those Netflix shows, I'll have to add them to my (very long) list!
